Rugby
At Hedkayse we have created a new material called Enkayse that is world leading at providing impact protection, regardless of temperature, to the human head and body. This is the foundation of the Hedkayse cycle helmet. We have now been asked to look at other sports where head protection is critical, such as rugby. For the first part of the exercise, we need a little help from all those who play or are involved in the rugby community

In recent years there has been a growing awareness of the incidence of head trauma in contact sports like rugby, and the possible long-term effects repeated trauma has on the body. Discussions over law changes by governing bodies, and the need for further research in the area is dominating the rugby landscape.
This study aims to explore the attitudes and behaviours of coaches and parents of youth-level rugby players towards headgear use in rugby, with a focus on the potential need for a product that offers protection against impacts to the head beyond the current generation ‘scrum cap’. It is important to understand what parents and coaches know about head protection in rugby, because they play a big role in making decisions that affect players' safety.
For this study we are looking to recruit UK based rugby coaches and parents of youth-level (11-18) rugby players. Your participation is entirely anonymous, voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without prejudice.
