What makes Enkayse® special?
Enkayse®is a temperature-stabilising formula for PU foams and elastomers used in impact protection.
It enables materials to meet safety standards that would otherwise be out of reach.
That’s how we built the world’s first certified cycle helmet without sacrificial foams like polystyrene.
It’s how we delivered a 5mm rugby headguard that outperforms rivals more than twice its thickness.
Known as “Amnesic Foam,” Enkayse® leaves no memory imprint — no dents, no degradation.

The Enkayse® range
Enkayse® foam utilises two core base formulations, engineered and tailored to meet specific application requirements, with each specification uniquely defined.

Duro
Ultimate Protection.
Outstanding ventilation & multiple impact reliability whilst maintaining the weight and performance of traditional single-use liners.
Unique design creates a weight equivalent of 140 density, 75 “O” Shoare 2m 100 Joule impact / 5.3kg headform / 25mm thick/average 190g across 3 temperature extremes with no degradation over 50 impacts.
Suitable for :
- Snow and Ski - ASTM F2040 / EN-1077
- Mountaineering - EN 12492
- Equine - PAS015:2011 / ASTM F1163
- Skateboarding - CPSC 1203
- Cycling - EN-1078 / SNELL
- American football - NOCSAE ND002 / ASTM F717
- Lacrosse - NOCSAE ND041
- Ice hockey - ASTM F1045
- Cricket - BS7928:2013

Active
All-Round Protection.
Everyday head and body safety with exceptional comfort and durability. Amnesic foam properties ensure a superb fit and long-term performance. Solid construction creates head protection equivalent to 190 density, 45 “O” Shore, achieving 1.5 m / 75 Joule impact with a 5.3 kg headform, 30 mm thickness and 140 g ambient impact, with no degradation over 50 impacts.
Highly flexible body-conforming configurations achieve protection equivalent to 80 density, 15 “O” Shore, delivering 1 m / 50 Joule impact with a 5.3 kg headform, 25 mm thickness and an average of 170 g, also with no degradation over 50 impacts.
Suitable for:
- Cycling – EN 1078 / SNELL
- American football – NOCSAE ND002 / ASTM F717
- Lacrosse – NOCSAE ND041
- Ice hockey – ASTM F1045
- Cricket – BS 7928:20
- Low-to-moderate risk body and head protection
- Medical applications, such as epilepsy
- Comfort pads
- Insoles, sports, and medical

Enkayse attenuates impacts more than other other foams on the market
The chart shows a reduction in linear acceleration from a 300g impact at body temperature (37.5C) with various foams

Body Heat Isn’t Optional. Your Protection Shouldn’t Fail Because of It.
This graph compares Enkayse with two widely used impact foams. While all materials perform similarly at room temperature, the foams lose effectiveness in heat and cold—exceeding the injury risk threshold. Enkayse remains stable and protective across all temperatures tested.

Everyday drops breaks EPS. Not Enkayse.
This graph shows a series of low-level impacts applied at one-minute intervals. While EPS degrades steadily, Enkayse® maintains consistent performance — and given more time between impacts, it would fully recover.
